My steering modification
allows for adjustment of tension with a turnbuckle internal to the lazerette
rather than the U-joints. Centering the steering is done buy loosening
the adjustable clamp and drawing the cable to the center point. The adjustable
clamp also reduces the need for only one turnbuckle. By using cable instead
of rope, adjustments are almost unneeded.
NOTE: After
using cable for a while it broke. This type of cable must not be designed
to be bent like this. I replaced the cable with a low-stretch line and
it works well.
