Boom Outhaul Horse

I plan to use a loose footed main. To make adjusting the tension (and hence the belly of the sail) easy and attaching the clew to the boom, it would be nice to have a boom horse and outhaul arrangement. I plan to use a piece of stainless rod to which I can shackle the main cringle. I have an eyebolt on the tip of the boom that I have used to attach the clew to. This is pulled and tied to the cleat on the upper side of the boom. I think this will still be workable with the loose footed main.
