09 / 09 / 00 The painted sections were taped and papered as shown here and sprayed with a high build primer to allow sanding to a smooth surface.
09 / 09 / 00 Dupont auto body pigments were applied and coated with a clear-coat uv protection over both paint and bright work. The green is a metal flake and looks nice with the white and natural colors.
09 / 22 / 00 The non-skid surface was created by sprinkling glass bead from a salt shaker over wet clear coat and then spraying again to lock the bead onto the surface. Glass bead about the size of salt provides a semi transparent surface for bright work. This is not nearly as nice looking as without the glass bead as can be seen in this photo, but the surface would be much to slipery with out it. Unfortunately my finishing plan called for all the non-skid to be on bright surfaces.
