The bookshelfs serve as a structural component
to strengthen the hull sides. They have the majority of the below water
screws on the boat.
I could not find mahogany spindle posts,
so I turned these to match the rest of the trim on the boat. I've
always wanted to use a lathe and it turned out to be as much fun
as I expected. |
