Attaching the bottom to the keel.
I kind of did this upside down. It is more like attaching the keel
to the bottom. This allowed me, by raising the sawhorses, to form the bottom
to the shape of the keel. Note the railroad tie to add extra weight.
Screws were driven up into the keel. This method allowed me to see
both sides easily. |

When the boat becomes "3-D" it is noteworthy.
At this point the keel has already been shaped and a layer of 6 oz cloth
was added to cover it completely. Doing so raises the ire of some
who feel it allows the keel to rot unnoticed. |
